Skin Tags - What Are They?
Skin Tags are small skin-coloured or brown growths that hang from the surface of your skin. They are formed from loose collagen fibres and blood vessels surrounded by skin.
They can vary in size and colour from a few millimetres to few centimetres wide.
Both men and women can develop these small growths and most commonly occur where the skin folds or creases. Typical locations are on the neck, back, armpits, around the groin or under the breasts. They can also grow on the eyelids and under the folds of the buttocks.
Skin tags are common, they are completely harmless and not contagious. Nor do they usually cause any pain or discomfort, although they can be irritated by clothing.
You may want your tags removed if they’re affecting your self-esteem or if they snag on clothing or jewellery and bleed.
Most blemishes can be removed in one quick treatment.
