Biostimulators

Skin boosters are injectable treatments that deeply hydrate and improve the quality of the skin by delivering hyaluronic acid beneath the surface.

They enhance smoothness, elasticity, and overall radiance rather than adding volume or changing facial structure.

How Do Skin Boosters and Biostumulators Compare?

Skin boosters focus on deeply hydrating the skin and improving surface quality using hyaluronic acid, giving a smoother, more radiant appearance.

In contrast, biostimulators work by stimulating the body’s natural collagen production to gradually improve firmness, structure, and long-term skin regeneration.

Which Products are Biostimulators?

Common examples of biostimulators include:

  • Sculptra – stimulates collagen gradually to restore volume and improve skin quality
  • Profhilo Structura – targets deeper fat layers to support structure while improving skin firmness and elasticity
  • Sunekos Performa – uses a combination of amino acids and hyaluronic acid to stimulate collagen and elastin, improving skin texture and elasticity
  • Polynucleotides – promote skin regeneration and repair by stimulating fibroblasts, improving elasticity, hydration, and overall skin quality

These treatments work beneath the skin to rebuild structure over time, rather than just temporarily filling lines or wrinkles.
