Facial fillers can be used to fill in the wrinkles in the Naso-labial Folds, Marionette Lines and Smoker’s Lines. They are also excellent to help lift and define the face by adding to Cheeks, Jawline, Chin and Tear Trough (under eye) area, as well as for reshaping the Nose.

I only use good quality, FDA approved temporary fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Saypha) to ensure safety for my clients. These products are tried and tested with plenty of data to support their safety record. Hyaluronic Acid, the main ingredient of temporary fillers, is a synthetic version of the hyaluronic acid produced in our bodies, so is non-toxic. It is non-animal based and can be easily dissolved if necessary.

With a poor product, the wrong technique and no numbing techniques … it can pinch slightly. We use a topical numbing agent on your skin before treatment, as well as using fillers that contain an anaesthetic so most clients feel little to no pain. With quality products containing Lidocaine, the right technique and topical numbing agent you see great results quickly.

The typical side-effects of Filler is swelling, redness and possible some bruising. This quickly fades within a few days. Ice packs and Arnica can be used to help with swelling if needed.

Facial Fillers may last up to 2 years, but more typically 5-9 months depending upon your own body’s metabolism and the filler used. It will then need to be renewed to maintain the look.
